For the very first time in the history of our zoo, we have reared a baby of a pied tamarin. The Zlín Zoo is keeping this species since 2017 and, what’s more, it’s the only zoo in the Czech Republic to do so. In Europe, only thirty institutions keep pied tamarins. In 2024, only three of those, including the Zlín Zoo, managed to rear them.
